Last Call for 2026 Capital Elle Business Impact Award Partners: Funding The #Unfundable

Inside The Elleiance Network, we ask a lot of questions.

But a few years ago, one question stood above the rest:

What would happen if women stopped waiting for access and started building it together?

Not another grant.

Not another application process that rewards businesses already closest to capital.

But something different.

Something collaborative.

Something designed specifically for women entrepreneurs who are building exceptional businesses and still hearing no.

Too creative.

Too service-based.

Too early.

Too different.

Too difficult to fund.

That question became a conversation.

That conversation became an initiative.

And eventually, it became one of the most ambitious collaboration projects built for Canadian women entrepreneurs.

The 2026Capital Elle Business Impact Award.

Born from the work and conversations happening inside The Elleiance Network, the Award exists to challenge traditional ideas about who gets funded and to create new pathways to growth through connection, capital, and opportunity.

And now, as we prepare for the next chapter, we are inviting partners to help shape what comes next.

The Problem Was Never Talent It Was Access

Inside The Elleiance Network, one truth continues to show up again and again.

Women entrepreneurs are not lacking ambition.

They are not lacking intelligence.

They are not lacking capability.

They are lacking access.

Access to decision-makers.

Access to funding pathways.

Access to strategic relationships.

Access to opportunities that accelerate growth.

We define the Access Gap as:

The distance between a woman founder’s potential and her proximity to decision-makers, deal flow, and strategic relationships that unlock scale.

That definition shapes everything behind the 2026 Capital Elle Business Impact Award.

Because this initiative was never created to reward the businesses already winning.

It was created to open doors for the businesses that deserve to.

What Happened When Women Came Together

In 2024, nine women-led businesses came together to create a single prize package valued at $20,000.

The response was immediate.

  • 269 applications

  • Over 200,000 reached

  • One woman entrepreneur funded

But something bigger became clear.

The need was far greater than anyone anticipated.

So in 2025, the initiative expanded.

Backed by 33 partners, the Capital Elle Business Impact Award grew into a $50,000 prize ecosystem supporting three women-owned businesses across Canada.

And 710 women entrepreneurs applied.

Seven. Hundred. And. Ten.

Not because women suddenly became more ambitious.

Because women saw a room being built differently.

One that recognized their potential.

One that believed access should not depend on fitting traditional models.

In 2026 We’re Going Bigger Because the Need Is Bigger

As we enter Year 3 of the Award, the model is evolving.

This year, we are intentionally focusing on the three biggest access gaps limiting scale for Canadian women entrepreneurs.

1. Strategic Connections

Proximity to decision-makers, influential networks, strategic introductions, and deal flow.

2. Raising Capital

Equitable access to funding opportunities without traditional barriers or systemic bias.

3. Acquisition Opportunities

Visibility into business acquisitions, partnerships, and expansion pathways.

These are not first, second, or third place prizes.

They are growth ecosystems.

Each package is intentionally built through aligned sponsors, experts, and strategic contributors who increase impact through their:

  • Resources

  • Relationships

  • Expertise

  • Visibility

  • Capabilities

Because growth does not happen in isolation.

And access should not either.

This Is Not Sponsorship, It Is Ecosystem Building Through Partnership

There are many ways to sponsor things.

This is not one of them.

Partnering with the 2026 Capital Elle Business Impact Award means joining a national collaboration designed to reshape who gets funded in Canada.

This is about helping build:

  • More equitable access

  • More visibility for women-owned businesses

  • More opportunities to grow

  • More pathways to capital

  • More strategic connection

If you have been looking for a meaningful way to support Canadian women entrepreneurs while aligning your brand with impact, collaboration, and visibility, this may be exactly what you have been looking for.

This is a seat at a table actively shaping a different future.

Because when women build access together, everyone grows.

Funding the Unfundable Starts With Someone Saying YES

Every major shift starts with people willing to believe in something before it becomes obvious.

That is what this award has always been about.

And that is what we are inviting partners into now.

Not to sponsor.

To help build a new model of economic inclusion.

One rooted in opportunity.

Proximity.

And real pathways to growth.
