Award Partner Spotlight: Paulina Kurek of Congraphix Inc.

Behind the Capital Elle Business Impact Award is a group of partners who believe women founders deserve more than advice. They deserve advocates.

Meet one of them. She's also one of our own.

An engineer first

Paulina Kurek's path into marketing started on job sites, not in an agency. She holds a degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from McMaster University and spent over six years as a Controls Engineer. In that role, she worked closely with contractors, tradespeople, and project teams, managing complex projects, budgets, and timelines.

It gave her a firsthand view of the challenges business owners in the trades face every day. And it showed her a pattern she couldn't ignore.

The gap she saw

Many highly skilled trades businesses were losing opportunities. Not because of their work, but because their online presence didn't reflect it. Outdated websites, inconsistent branding, and limited visibility made it hard for potential clients to see the expertise behind the business.

Most trades businesses grow on word of mouth. A homeowner recommends you to a neighbour. A builder calls you back for the next project. But eventually, referrals alone can't support the next stage of growth. Clients are searching online, comparing companies, and reading reviews before they ever pick up the phone. The businesses that look established and trustworthy often win the work, even when they aren't the most skilled company for the job.

Paulina founded Congraphix to close that gap.

What Congraphix does

Congraphix helps trades, construction, and service-based businesses build the visibility, credibility, and trust they need to grow. Through strategic branding, website design, content creation, and digital marketing, the team creates marketing systems that showcase the quality of each client's work.

Paulina's approach is practical and hands-on. She makes marketing simple for business owners who would rather run projects than navigate digital platforms. Her engineering background shows up in the work: structured, focused on problem-solving, and built with attention to detail.

What that looks like in practice

One Congraphix client came in with little to no digital presence. No professional logo, no website, no clear brand identity. The business relied almost entirely on referrals.

Together, they built a professional brand, a strong online presence, and marketing assets that reflected the quality of the work. Today, that business has grown into a team of five, operates two service vehicles, and maintains a consistently booked schedule.

That's the mission in action: turning trade skills into sought-after businesses that get seen and stay remembered.

Why she's an Award Partner

Visibility is a form of access. The right brand puts a business in front of the right clients, partners, and opportunities. Paulina understands that, and she's lived the value of community in her own business.

She joined the 2026 Capital Elle Business Impact Award as a Community Partner to give back to the community that helped her grow.
